Delay a step, or skip one that can't show
Two new settings control when a Flow step appears, and what happens if it doesn't.
- Delay a step. A Flow fires as soon as its conditions match, which isn't always the right moment. Set a wait on the first step or any step after it: a second for the page to settle, thirty for a "need a hand?" nudge.
- Skip a step that can't show. Appcues waits for the element, but if it can't be found, the whole Flow is cancelled. With this on, the Flow moves to the next step instead, or to a backup step you built for the purpose.
Both live in Flows 2.0, the rebuilt web builder, currently in open beta.
